1) What type of bird , age and weight.
Production Red, 14 weeks old, unsure about weight
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Pullet is acting normal for the most part. Eating but not drinking very much. Closes her eyes but is not acting lame at all. Can't even get her to sit on my lap. She's too busy looking around and wanting to get up on my laptop.. lol have noticed her nares are plugged up and she has wattery and bubbly eyes.. I also noticed that her sinuses have started getting swollen on the right side but not bad yet. Want to stop it before it gets bad! I've also noticed that there is a smell to her face but it's not strong.. I didn't notice it until i brought her into the house.
3) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No trauma
4) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
Unsure.
5) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Purina start and grow all the time, scrambled egg, tomatoes, oatmeal, and any other scraps I want to give them on occasion, bugs and grass that wander or get thrown into the coop from time to time and grit.. Water is refilled 2-3 x daily. Normally have ACV in it but ran out and have to wait til next week to get it.
6) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Poop looks absolutely normal. See photo below
7) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
None
8 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
Treat myself.
9) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
Pics below.
10) Describe the housing/bedding in use
6x10 dog run, dirt floor cleaned out once or twice a week. There are nesting boxes filled with pine shavings.
None of the others are sick. The problem seems to be only with this pullet. I've pretty much narrowed it down to Mareks, Coryza, Infectious Bronchitis or Newcastle disease. Because of the smell, I am thinking Coryza though. What am I dealing with here?!
*poop*
*Whole body* (Sorry, Clucky refused to get out of the way! lol)
