ive had it since 1 day old, its 3 weeks but, as i said theyre a bantam, so they look smallerToo young. Looks younger then 3 weeks.
Bantams(I haven't had cochins though)I've raised, they usually more feathered then that at 3 weeks. Maybe it's just the way the pictures are taken?ive had it since 1 day old, its 3 weeks but, as i said theyre a bantam, so they look smalleri know 3 weeks is too young i was just wondering if anyone had a guess yet
....No, that is not what we mean. It is not feathering in correctly, so it does look younger than it is. What are you feeding it?ive had it since 1 day old, its 3 weeks but, as i said theyre a bantam, so they look smalleri know 3 weeks is too young i was just wondering if anyone had a guess yet
I think...the first part of that sentence is accurate, is what I think.i know you can't really figure out gender at 3 weeks but what do yall think?
im not brand new to chickens, i know enough to know when one doesnt look right, yall have only seen 2 pictures, the chick is very strong and healthy, and feathering in just fine. thnx for the concern. im feeding my chicks medicated crumble feed, brand purina....No, that is not what we mean. It is not feathering in correctly, so it does look younger than it is. What are you feeding it?
thank you!Bantams usually are easier to sex. I just had a serama that hatched and knew it was a boy from the day it popped out. He was an early exception of course. But that little one does have some nice points on that face. If you want a "guess", I'd go with cockerel. But yes, it's a bit early. Compare pictures in a week and then again in another looking at the comb. And remember to post them here.
