I would guess hen! breed would be helpful.

I'm guessing hen, but the way the tail feathers are curving makes me a bit suspicious and hesitant to say hen.

Those saddle feathers look suspicious so I'm holding off on saying what it is till we know what the breed is

Thanks, didn’t see that before. I’d say this bird is confirmed male then, based on physical characteristics at that age.
