I’ve asked several times but get mixed answers so I’ll see if I can get more definite answers since they’re a bit older. Also would like guesses on the breeds since I’m not sure on them either. Please and thank you?! They are 7-8 weeks old. 4 chicks here. It’s very windy so I wasn’t able to get great pics, they hate the wind!

1st, 2nd, and 5th look a lot like brown leghorns. 4th is a buff cochin and 6th is a barred Plymouth Rock. The 3rd picture looks a lot like my hatchery barnvelder at that age, however I am not quite sure. I do not see a speckled Sussex or Welsummer.

1, 2, and 5 are all the same chick and been told brown leghorn or welsummer. I thought maybe welsummer. That’s the only one that would be still for pics. 3rd pic I’ve heard speckled Sussex a lot. His/her feathers have started to have a bluish/green tint to them lately, not sure if that helps at all.

I do not think that the 3rd photo is a speckled Sussex. I believe it would have white spangles by now if it were.

Agreed, all pretty pullets. :love

Second to last sports female specific coloration, and is likely a Brown Leghorn. :) As a matter of fact, they probably all are. Welsummers are a little "thicker." ;)

Not sure on #3's breed.....but it appears you have Brown Leghorns, Buff Cochin, and a Barred Rock.
