It's a cockerel.

Definitely male. They have slightly different color patterns than the pullets.

here is my roo he looks so much more like a roo so it trows me off on the other bird.he's crowing strutting around like he owns the place and the bird in question is very mild mannered and not a peep yet and they are equal ages.
