I had an issue with one of my laying girls jumping up and biting our pantlegs while feeding. It was her anticipation. I read somewhere to put hand on her back,(while she is in position for dominance). I also red to hold her beak closed, but make sure to do this action FAST. Well she stopped doing that. Then this past week, she has started jumping up on my ARM!!!! So in one hand is the food bin, and a bird on the other. It hurts. It spills food. The other forms of discipline haven't worked. Any thoughts?

Peck her back! Make a beak with two fingers and give her a peck, put her in her place. The flying up on your arm may just be excitement over you bringing the feed. I had a hen that would do the same thing. I would motor to the feeder as quickly as I could, without stopping to give her a chance to fly up. If she tried, I'd knock her down mid air. She eventually quit and contented herself with just being under my feet all the time.

Thank you, will try. She is the sweetest one, but I don't want this bad behavior anymore.
