Can anyone shed any light on why a pullet stops laying eggs after l week. Here is the situation, I ordered 3 straight run buff brahma bantam cochin chicks. I got very lucky this time, 2 pullets and 1 cockeral. They are now 6 months old. They were raised together but 3 weeks ago they were at the fair in seperate cages. One pullet started laying her first eggs at the fair. She laid one every day. After the week of fair was over, we brought them home and put them back in their pen and not one egg has been laid since we have been home. We even put a fake egg in the nesting box and nothing. Is this common with bantams? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for any suggestions!

When they first start laying they can be on again / off again due to hormone fluctuation, remember that they are just now maturing and their body has to adjust and get into a cycle.

This is normal.
