Does anyone know if anyboby has studied the ratio of hens to roosters.

roughly 50/50 its just the way the sex chromosomes sort out.

Now what percent hatch or any particular hen throws (just like my hubbies family is all boys) might be different, but a chick has a sex before the egg is laid.
