My 6 month old bantam pullet has a swollen eye, I wasn’t home yesterday so I’m not sure if her eye was swollen yesterday but it was not like this on Tuesday. She is puffing her feathers out, and staying away from the flock a bit. She is still eating and drinking normally. She doesn’t sound congested, no sneezing, and so far no discharge from her nose or her eyes. I would like to try to treat this at home if possible!

Do you think that she was pecked around her face? It looks like a bloody peck on her comb. Are there any bubbles in her eye? Have you added any new birds recently who might have carried in a respiratory disease, such as MG? Tylosin or Denagard Powder can treat symptoms of MG, if you think it might be that.

No bubbles in her eye! I didn’t notice the blood on her comb! I haven’t added any new chickens to the flock :) I think she might have gotten pecked!
