Hello, I recently purchased a 13 week old pullet… She was missing a lot of feathers when I took her in and they have started to grow back! I wanted to confirm that this is in fact, a pullet and if you think she is an Easter Egger?
Thank you!

I’m so glad her feathers are growing back! ❤️

I’ll make an uneducated guess that she is a Black Australorp pullet. EEs come in so many different guises that it’s hard for me to know, but in nearly 2 months of reading the thrice daily “Is my Easter Egger a hen or roo?” posts on this forum, I’ve yet to see one like her.

Someone more experienced will chime in hopefully, but you’ll know if she’s an EE when she starts laying. An Australorp should give you a brownish egg, an EE should give you a colorful egg.

I agree, looks like an Australorp. I’m inclined to wait a bit on the gender guesses though, I would not be surprised if that was a late-blooming cockerel, as those wattles are looking quite red.
