How often and how much should I be feeding my 4 week old chicks and 7 week old turkeys? Should they have food at all times available?

we feed in the morning and at night, usually the dishes are never all the way empty.

I keep my feeders full at all times. Typical breed chickens do not overeat and this keeps stress down in the flock if they have food readily available when they need it. The only birds feed is restricted for are meat type birds (cornish cross and broad breasted turkeys).
