Pullets or cockerel

My Ameraucana are 9wks old. Thought I had two pullets, the darker one comb is definitely bigger and darker. But could’ve sworn I saw the lighter one trying to make a crowing noise. When I saw the darker one looking more like a little roo accepted I had a pair. But seeing the lighter one trying to crow made my heart sink. I love their colors And won’t part with them just wanted a pullet The last pic of the tail feathers are from the lighter one with small comb, that is crowing. View attachment 2126543

Darker one is a cockerel while the lighter one a pullet in the first picture. 2nd pic you got 2 cockerels (right) & 1 pullet.

That you I was hoping one of them was. The lighter one was the one I saw trying to make a screeching crowing sound and had me worried. I figured out the GLW was a cockerel and have a pullet.

As long as she’s a girl she can crow all day long. Lol. My old rooster did the egg song all day. Lol.

I've heard of hens crowing. Maybe she's just one of those confused ones.
