Hello Everyone,

I am planning to pick up some ducklings this week. I have everything that the farmer suggested along with googles suggestions. I was just wondering if anyone more experienced than myself has any tips or tricks that may be helpful to raise these ducklings? Thank you in advance!!

I’d use towels or puppy pee pads first week. Duckling have been known to eat. Shavings when they first are introduced. Are you going to be feeding duck starter or chick starter? If chick starter you’ll need to supplement with some form of niacin since chick starter doesn’t have enough for ducklings. Be sure to put your heat lamp at one end of the brooder so one end is warm the other cooler. And have a thermometer so you can keep track of the temps. As for niacin you can use nutritional yeast and sprinkle over their feed 1 Tab per each cup. They will need this daily till 10 weeks old. Be sure to post pictures of your duckling when you get them. And :welcome
