Purchasing quail

Is there any good place to purchase quail from? Possibly somewhere local to the texas panhandle? Also, what feeders and water’s do y’all use for quail? What feed?

Legit question, why do you want quail when you're not familiar with their care?
Do you know what kind you have in mind? Do you need a permit for them there?

Do your homework first, decide on species, what you want them for (meat, egg, pet, bird dog training…), how and where you plan to house them, what you will feed them, if your state or city has special permit or license requirements, then when you know what you want you can start looking for it. I’d try your local classifieds first and maybe a Google search for local breeders then consider shipped eggs if you can’t find anything local, I don’t have anyone within a 4 hour drive for coturnix, let alone new world quail so shipped eggs it was!

Sorry that wasn’t very specific… I’m going to get continue quail and I do not need a permit where I live. I plan to house them in a ground pen, so they will have access to dirt and grass. I was just wondering any personal opinions for feeders or any set ups others have tried and know do not work. Or if anyone local to the panhandle has found someone they trust and or any hatcheries anyone likes more than others.
