I just separated my hens from the other roosters to their own breed. How long will it take for them to be cleaned out, so to speak, of the sperm from the other roosters?

Great question and a thread I'd thought of starting myself. I originally thought it was only a few days, but in recent reading I'm starting to get the impression it is closer to 3-4 weeks! I'm not sure of the exact amount of time though, So really I'd like to know too!

4 weeks just to be sure. 3 weeks is the maximum a hen should hold the sperm though.

I always wait 4 weeks though.

Thirty days to be sure. If the rooster you want to breed with is virile and active then possibly as little as two weeks. But thirty days to be sure.
