I love being around my chickens. They each have different personalities. I have five 17 week old pullets. I am a first time chicken owner.
A really funny thing I see often is two chickens running at each other, coming to a screeching halt, raising their heads and flaring out their neck feathers. Eyeball to eyeball stares. Then as if on cue, they seem to think, "on, hey", then go back to their scratching and pecking for bugs.

Haven't seen that very often. None of mine are in very good shape :gig
Need a stricter routine. Press-ups, ect.
Well I'd still like to meet your birds
:D but no pressure.
I have three chicks at the moment. They like the camera....

I also like it when I come out to where they are and they all run up to me with "what do ya got for us" looks. If I have the yogurt dish, they are very excited.
Yes! Mine do the same thing. If I come right back out after opening up the coop they assume I am coming with a treat. They have also figured out that my father in law is the bringer of grasshoppers.

I love sitting out here and watch them peck around and make their little chicken noises. And nature sounds to go along with it. We have wild quail in our woods, so I hear them calling often
