I have a two year old purebred Silkie rooster. His bloodlines are perfect. He has all his shots updated. Yes, I do give all my chickens shots. He went to the vet and was very healthy. They are given very high quality food which is 30 dollars a bag. I give them spring water with probiotics in the water. Takes dirt bathes. His crop is always full when he goes to bed. He is the healthiest a chicken can be. But I think it's his fluffy butt. I let them out every morning and watch them. He has his favorite hen which is Azul. Which is a purebred Lavender ameraucana which is as healthy as him. Both of their butts are fluffy so I think the vents can't touch. I don't care if they create a mutt chicken. It will be cute. Both of them have never been sick. I have tried artificial but, I can never do it right. I've watched this video on how to do artificial, I never got any of his stuff. Can someone tell me how to do step by step and tell me how to put it in the hen correctly?

Can't help with the AI - have never done it, but you can pluck vent feathers on both the hen and rooster so that they can 'make contact'. It is a relatively common practiced in some heavily feathered breeds.

Well if your intent is to show them having young is really of no importance as they would only be mutts. The appearance of the parents is most important. It's all about priorities.
