I've seen people on this website who have chickens that lay pink eggs and I was wondering how did they get a pink egg or if it's possible for a hen to lay purple eggs, thanks.

I think there is only one breed i can think of that lays pink eggs? Faverolles, unless im mistaken? Im sorta new to this stuff... Not sure otherwise

No they lay very pale eggs off white / cream.
Sussex sometimes lay pink eggs.
My Sussex eggs sometime do look pale pink when next to the more tan eggs but i don't think they are a truely pink egg.
Do you know how you create a purple egg? Maybe a blue egg layer x pink egg layer.
I have read of a breed that has eggs with a purple sort of bloom on them, but sorry can't remember what they are. I wonder if EE's can ever lay purple ones with a random comblo of brown / blue etc

Croad langshan? I've never had one or even seen one but I remember reading somewhere that their eggs may have a plum-coloured bloom
