I have a hen that's not being herself lately, she's been real calm and her comb and wattle turned purple, should I be worried about it? Give her some antibiotics?

Check to see if she is internally laying? Maybe a heart problem. Check the link in this forum for "hens dying" has some info too.

Although im not that experienced with chickens (at all,) i've read a chicken book (not a small kids kind) that says if there is a blueing (which you might call purple) of the comb or wattles, it means that your chicken has avian influenza (flu.

) Again, im not very experienced with chickens, so I may be wrong.
