Put n another set after 1st hatch- is it ok?HELP!!

This is my 1st time hatching chicks, so 2 hatched and the others didnt. was wanting to know if i can take up my shelf material that i lay on top of the wire mesh and put new down and set another 24 eggs without have to let it cool down and haveing to clean it for this hatch. can I do this? or should just clean it completly and then set em? Need lots of feed back onthis, want to set them in tonight!!! Thanks for the help!!

I have always heard to clean it after each batch because of the chance of infection getting into the next batch of eggs. Personally, I would give it a good cleaning and then start fresh tomorrow. Better to have to wait 1 extra day then to set and have to toss them all out later and start again then, (especially if towards the end of the 21 days). How horriable that would be!

When you remove the tray you ill see how filthy it is and why it is IMPERATIVE to clean the bator before you set your next batch.
