Hi there! New duck momma here.
I have a hand reared one month old duckling named Beep-Beep. A white runner duck. I don't know yet if it's a boy or girl, wer'e just assuming that Beeps is a "she".
As of today, we've got 4 new duckling rescues. They must be only two days old now. They are also runner ducks, but the brown ones. Indian runners.
Beep Beep, my 4 week old, is super intruiged by the new cheeps. How soon can I put them all together to hang out and snuggle?
I've got the babies under the heat lamp at the moment and Beep-Beep has her own box, but being a single ducky I can't help but think that she'd love having some brothers and sisters. She's imprinted on me and we've had cuddles for days and weeks. She's been so loving, but I know that other duckies will be good for her, even if she is a pampered ducky. We are really keen to introduce them ASAP. Any advice would be appreciated. Obviously, safety first in all aspects to protect the new babies. Thanks so much.
Oh, I live on a farm and we have about 20 other free range ducks that also live here on the property. They are semi domesticated. When the ducklings are old enough we are hoping that they will integrate with the rest of the flock. Our cottage is right on the dam so we are surrounded by ducks.
This website has saved me with raising Beep-Beep. All the information thus far has been a treat in the duckling journey. Thanks in advance.
