I just have them laying in the bator but I see some people put their hatching eggs in an egg carton and THEN in the bator???

You really don't have to if you don't want to... some people just like to incubate and hatch there eggs in cartons and some people don't... i have a auto turner but if i didn't i would turn my eggs on there sides instead of the carton

so you can leave them on there sides like you have them now and just turn them like that or put them in the carton and tilt the carton from one side to the other 3 to 5 times a day

either way it just fine

When you get down to the last few days do you just take the egg turner out?

I'm not Birdboy but I'll answer. I usually remove them from the turner on day 18. You have to watch because this will usually cause your temp to drop. I say usually because I have forgotten to unplug and remove it and went in to find chicks climbing all over the turner.

Ok, thanks

We're at day 18 today. Just wanted to make sure we do things right as this is our first hatch.

I have a question. I am using a LG, having water in the wells and tilting it, will this soak the carton?
