PVC feed/Nipple waterer

Thanks to all the others on this forum that provided the ideas for these two feeder & waterer projects .. I finally have them complete and I am posting some pictures ... both of these work well and the chickens use them regularly.

Now I have to decide on a way to keep my water from freezing in the winter ... so I'll be on the lookout for
ideas to keep waterers warm during the freezing weather months.

Nice work and they look just spiffy, can't help on much water though as I live in AZ and do not know what is new out there heating wise.

We used to use pipe heat tape that plugs into standard socket when I lived in cold country. We wrapped it around the galvanized water container and it worked pretty well when I lived in IL and WI, but when it got way below zero it still would freeze and we would have to take care of it.

Son-in-law in ME uses an aquarium heater in a bucket with nipples.
