PVC feeder and Water Plans

So far I love my set up.... Barrel is hard plumbed to the hose bib. Definitely went overkill on barrel size. Plenty of good pressure to horizontal nipples, though. They work like a dream. Pipe underground to barrel and then feed from the bottom. Then also feed coop / run underground where possible. Three watering stations outside with 3 nipples. One station inside with three nipples. There's a threaded plug at end that allows me to purge system and/or clean barrel on occasion. Also overkill, but I didn't want to give them anything to fight over. (Kind of kick myself for not having the water system leave the coop through the floor, then underground, only to pup up for 3' right there at coop... as opposed to the way it looks now. That horizontal run at the coop now has three H nipples in it)

I also went long and relatively narrow with run. My theory was this gives them greater physical distance from one another. There are usually 2 or 3 groups of hens together. You can get to the same area (square foot) with more square like dimensions, but multiple watering stations, multiple perches, and two feeding stations really spreads them out. So far... zero bullying. 21 pullets.

Feed systems... I went with what you see pictured below. I think 25 gallon pales from Tractor Supply. Work great. 25# of feed fills up maybe 20% the bucket.

I made my run the bare minimum recommended. Too much going on now but this winter I am going to copy you and make it a lot longer.

so I got some buckets from Lowes and some pvc parts. I don't know what I did wrong. The feed doesn't move down inside as the chickens eat it.

I love your system! I did something similar but the nipple cups I used leaked terribly. I like the tapered nipples you used, I'll have to redo my system. How many chickens to you supply with this system?
Thanks for you post.
