Pvc feeder

What size of Pvc pipe is the best to use for a feeder? Also what size holes do you drill so chickens can get to the feed?

I use 4" PVC and like it. I haves used 1.5" & 2" holes. They do t spill with the 1.5 but I think it is a bit hard for the bigger hens to get in the 1.5" holes so I like 2" better even though they spill some.
