pygmy goat's milk

has anyone tried pygmy goat's milk? If you have, is it better than cows milk? Is it better for you? Thanks!

Pygmys arent know for their milk as they only produce enough for the babies. I would look into either Nigerians or larger type dairy goats. Pygmys arent dairy type they are or were bred for meat like the Boer goats. Not to good milkers unless you just need a little and it tastes like milk unless the buck is running with them and then it gets a off taste. Hope this helps some..

I have had to milk pygmies for various reasons and you would get cramps in your thumbs trying to get enough milk to do anything useful with. Their teats are tiny.

My Pygmy give just fine. I suggest you get something called 'A magidan Milker' it's great for those little teats.

The milk is fine. But you use two fingers to milk them. It takes a LOOOONNNNNGGGGGGGG time.
