I am just going to avoid confusion and say, yes my three chickens are 17 weeks old and still live in the house. This morning I was awakened by the sound of, BUCK BUCK BUCKAK, BUCK BUCK BUCKAK. As soon as she was let out out of her own room to roam around the house, she started to search frantically around the house for a place to lay an egg. She tried the bathtub. Nope. She tried the nesting box I made for her. Nope. Finally she decided to settle down behind the television. That was the perfect place. She laid down there, panting , for a about 20 minutes, then finally she got up and casually walked away rom her " nest ", that was when I decided to check her " nest ". There laid a perfectly shaped, light brown egg. I praised her greatly that day. The egg was delicious.
