Hi, just want to know when you can take a quail out of its brooder because mine are like a week old, so any answers?

When they are well feathered & weaned from the light. Depending on the temperature you might get by as soon as they have feet big enough to walk on wire if that is what your keeping them on.

I take mine out at 4 weeks and put em on wire i live in south alabama and the temps are in the 90s and 100s to high 80s at night. But ive never had a problem taking them out at 4 weeks.

Reduce brooder temp a degree a day or 5 degrees per week until brooders are at ambient night time temps, then they are ready to go, Usually about 4 weeks gives them time to be fully feathered and ready to go in a pen.
