Quail ate toxic thing!

My quail ate the stems and leaves of a couple cherry tomato plants. I've heard tomato stems and leaves are toxic, what should we do? Will they die or just get sick?

It depends on how much they ate. Hopefully they will just get sick for a while and then recover. Quail usually have more sense than to eat toxic plants, but they aren't always the brightest little creatures.

You might try calling a vet to see what they say.

Well there were 4 small to medium plants, and 4 quail almost completely ripped off the leaves down to the stem... hopefully it's not too much however. They haven't shown any illnesses in their behavior, of course it's hard to see sickness in quail but they all seem energetic and curious as they usually are so I'm hoping for the best.

It sounds like they didn't eat enough to kill them, then, thank goodness. Quail are prey animals and very good at hiding illness, so keep a close eye on them for the next couple of days.
