Quail Bonds

Does any one have any info on quail bonding, as a beginner i,m amazed how closely Coturnix quail bond with there fellow hatching's, but do not accept others from another hatch.

Its all to do with their calls. They will instinctively attack any strange bird that tried to get in with their group. Same as chicks and ducklings.

Mostly they recognize the strange birds by their different calls rather than size or colour.
