Hello, I recently ordered 12 quail eggs to try to hatch and start a little flock of quail for my backyard. Once they hatch, how long can they go in the brooder for? Half of them are probably going to be butchered at 6 wks, and the other half will not. Everywhere I looked said to keep them in the brooder for six wks. Do I have to keep them in there for that long? Could I move them outside at two wks? I live in central Texas so the outside temp is basically a brooder. Thank you for any/all input,

I kept mine in the brooder for 3 weeks and then they went outdoors :) But its even hotter outside now, I’m sure it would be fine to put them outdoors at 2 weeks.
