Quail Cage 1st attempt

I started on a quail cage this weekend. It is approximately 2 1/2' X 6'
Most of the lumber I'm using came out of an old garage I tore down.
I figured the hole thing would take a couple ours. So far I have about 10 hours into it.
But I am trying to make it Raccoon PROOF

raccoon proof.....try encasing it in solid steel underground with guards at the door!

It occurred to me tonight that the raccoons can probably chew threw the wood. Well I guess we'll see.

I finished the case today and bought 10 females. I still don't have a level area outside to put the cage so everything is going to have to stay in the garage until tomorrow.
