the way I keep mine the cleanest for my courtnix is set it up on a 2x4 just the right amount and the feeder I have one of those long steel ones with the bar down the middle and it spins if they get up on top of it so they have to stand in the hay to eat there is still some poo that's gets in it this way but no where as much as there was before. good luck.
