Quail disease identification?

One of my girls is looking a little unwell. One of her eyes looks slightly swollen and dull, the feathers on her head are rough, and she seems a bit tired and slow.

I have some oxytetracycline antibiotics which I'm administering as a first resort but just wondering if anyone can identify something specifically wrong?

She is about two years old now and has spent a lot of time brooding eggs in her time (!! yes, she's a rare broody quail) which is pretty tough - limited eating and drinking for weeks on end while the eggs hatch - so that could be part of it.

If its just one eye it sounds more like an injury as both eyes would be affected if it were a respiratory disease. That's not to say it won't get infected so keep an eye on it, but they are generally tough little critters. Perhaps one of your other birds has pecked it?

Lucky you to have a broody quail!
