Quail Eggs... How Long Will They Keep Before Setting?

Simple question: how long can you gather/keep quail eggs before you set them?

Same question for chicken eggs....

I've heard 7 days for quail, true?

Chicken eggs can be gathered much longer before setting but I'd like to hear from others here what sort of time lines they use.

On my recent hatch of Faverolles, I gathered eggs for 2 weeks and got (what I considered at least!) a great hatch; 25 out of 36 fertile eggs.

Quail eggs are best set before 10 days old. 7 days is premium. Kept at room temp or just a tad cooler and up to 7 days will bring best hatch results.

Chicken eggs, 2 weeks.
