Quail eggs

This looks like a nicely developing egg.

Just that I’ve seen absolutely no movement and now it’s day 8

You have probably just been unlucky in your timing. They're not moving all of the time.

Quail eggs should be dark (seeing movement is rare at any stage) and veins can appear Day 10-ish but then disappear again, otherwise Day 4-5 are your best days to see veins (and still hard to see in most eggs). Big growing reddish dark shadow is good. Green and glowing is bad.
