Quail Farming

I am thinking of starting a quail farm. I have been getting as much information as I can from the Internet, but it has me to the point that I want more. I am thinking about raising anywhere between 250 and 500 at a time. I will incubate them and raise them flight ready for sale starting off as a part time extra money thing but I would like to get larger and maybe go full time into it. So can any one make some suggestions different types of books or advice this would be my first venture into something like this.

The main piece of advice I can give you is to go with bobwhites. Coturnix are fast developers, but they aren't a very good choice for being 'flighty'.

I'm with shelley, go with Bobwhites. First get in touch with your game commission and get your required permit/licensing and ask them to point you in the direction of other breeders in your area that you can learn from/buy from etc. You'll need more tahn likely a propigation permit as well as a permit to release them (since you're saying you need them for flight training im assuming you'd want to release some yourself to show your customers).
