Okay, I am freaking out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was about asleep and I decided to go and check on my dh in the kitchen. My incubator and hatcher are in my mud room. I don't know why I went in there to check them, but I am glad I did. One was hatching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are not due until tomorrow afternoon, but one is already out on day 16. How long should I leave him in there by himself? I am so worried, Like a fist time mom all over again!!!!

what kind of quail are you hatching? My Bob White quail takes 23 days. My experience with hatching quail is that they seem to be easier than chickens but when they do they're very energetic. I wound up taking mine out right after they hatched because they were knocking the other eggs all around. I'm somewhat new as well, I've only hatched them once so maybe others with more experience should advise you.

I believe the max time suggested in 12 hours, because they need to eat sooner after hatching than chickens do. But if they are playing kickball with the other unhatched eggs, I might take them out even sooner than that.

hey, don't ever think that's really, i just kidding, never can see quail shipped hundred (perhaps thousand) kilometer (ew, i think USA use miles or what) and didn't get confused with what have done so far.

you should keep them well cherlyn or i will email them and asked them to fly here (never mind) even if they could access any computer/laptop there, they won't be able to fly to here, except they can pass security check in airport and take a board with plane right to here

Yes, US uses miles. Here in England we also use miles for distance, metric system for other measurements.
