My quail are peeping inside the egg!!! but which is it?? I have 4 alive and I fixed one with scotch tape which was cracked. and I moved it a bit when I opened the incubator a day after fixing (today about 5 mins. ago) and heard peeping, but which could it have been?? I am afraid the membrane will go dry on whichever one it is when hatching!! HELP!

If you have no external pips you should be fine. Try not to open your open incubator so the humidity can stay built up and high ready for them doing their external pips. Try not to worry, I know that's easier said than done just keep the humidity up.

Wishing you the very best of luck with your hatch and hope you have some little bumble bee quail soon. They are so cute being as small as they are :fl

Do you have a hygrometer in your incubator to measure the humidity? For hatching aiming for 65% is best if not higher. If you don't have one I would add a sponge or clean cloth to get it up if you can't be sure. The surface area of water is what creates the humidity and not depth of water.

Thanks :D
