Quail pictures

Neither? Short story is they are a speckled italian of sorts.

Long story-I started with a manchurian hen and a masked pharaoh roo. Here is where it gets complicated (until the chicks I just hatch grow up then I will have it pinpointed) I crossed two of the female offspring with a male golden tuxedo, one of the male offspring with female pharaoh. I set a butt load of eggs in the incubator with marking which came from which pen so they all hatched together. In the mean time the pharaoh hens went all hannibal lector on the male and they whole pen got put on the table. So this will be my first hatch since removing that group and I should be able to tell if this coloring is coming from the remaining trio or if it came from the deceased (in which case I have to start all over) The roo pictured above is only about 6 weeks old but my hope is get a line of golden speckleds or whatever they want to call them to breed true to this color as much as possible. I have seen a lot of pictures of birds similar to this one so I know this color happens a lot (at least in roos) but I want to make it happen on purpose for more than one generation.
