Quail pipped in morning but hasn't moved in 5 hrs is this ok?

Hi all the eggs is cracked open and I can see a beak but it hasn't moved in 5 hrs humidity is 70% temp 37 degreea another egg has a small crack in it I won't touch any thing just wondering if this is normal or if it has passed... many thanks it is day 16 and we can definitely see some eggs wiggle and rest... many thanks take care all

Definitely don’t touch. I did , I also kept opening the incubator lid.
Hopefully someone has advice on what to do vs. not do.

I agree with @JacinLarkwell that 16 days is on the really early side for hatching. Do you have pics?

There is one that is open but there has been no movement i think it didn't make it... hoping the others will they were wiggling but haven't seen them wiggle for abit either.... fingers crossed

Definitely just leave it, they can be pipped and not hatch for 24 hours and you wouldn't need to worry. They do a lot of resting. Perhaps your incubator was running too hot if they're pipping early?

5 hours is not long, they will have long periods of rest. I wouldn’t worry too much until after 24 hours of no progress.

day 16 is very early, and if multiple are starting that early, your incubator has been a bit too warm during incubation. Do you have an independent thermometer and hygrometer? The ones on the incubators are often off by up to several degrees.

Try whistle ling it cab get them to move or peck or play baby quail hatching sounds from youtube i whistled and mine used to chirp back then peck at the pip

Hi all just goes to show I whistled and watched last night and this morning and saw and heard nothing I thought oh no I killed them but I just accepted maybe it was a lesson to keep calm and carry on whatever will be will be went out this morning and came back to 2 hatched them 3 more hatched we even saw one pop out! The original egg didn't make it but it was a tad early ....thanks all they are a mix of brown and brown quail and brown and golden what colors will they be,n I'm thinking most will be brown but one is blond.... take care all
