Hello all, do you know if Coturnix go broody? I've had some hens laying in a specific spot and getting kinda "touchy" about me being in that area.

Ugh. Thanks moderation. Didn't realize it was an ad but what have you...

Thanks goagain. I had seen a video but couldn't tell if it was actually broody or not? I moved them to a new cage and she's stopped it as of now.

Is there a way to get them to lay in one specific spot or will they continue to just lay anywhere now that I've moved them to a new place.

My birds are on wire and just drop eggs wherever, I have heard others comment that if your birds are on wire and you give them a sand box to dust in they will tend to lay in the sand box. I've tried that but it doesn't seem to make any difference with mine.

I give mine a box with dry hay in it, most of their eggs get laid in there

How big is your box that you're using? They are on sawdust/sand mixture and so far are doing very well. Very calm overall and many will jump on my hand to be held. Really odd. I thought they'd be really flighty?

The eggs are just all over the place it seems but if I can get a right sized box to try to get them to lay in there that'd be fantastic! Thanks!
