Quail wont lay eggs

Hi... I have 6 male and 6 female coturnix jumbo quail...they are about 6 months old but they wont lay eggs. I only get one egg every week or every two weeks but that seems to low for 6 females. Please help!!

Now, I know nothing about quail and have never raised them, But based off from my experience from raising chickens, Pheasants, ducks and guineas I would assume that you have too many males and that they're stressing your females out. And a stressed bird won't lay eggs..

Ya 6 males is way to much if you want to make more baby's you only need one

1 male can cover 5-6 females.. Your females are being over bred.

A cage 3ft x 2ft an 1 ft high is the perfect cage for 1 male an 6 females.
Which types do you have?
-Pharaoh
-Texas A&m
-Rosetta
-Italian
-Tuxedo

Pharaoh and Italians can be sexed by their chest.
Texas A&M, Rosetta, and Tuxedo can be sexed by vents.
