Hi everyone, I'm a new member now of the backyard chickens and I've got some questions. I love raising chickens and quail but I've been have some problems with the quail. I had some quail hatch and when they hatched they never could walk. They just laid on there sides and moved around that way. I tried to help them as much as I could but they couldn't walk. I keep my temp at 99.5 and 60% humidity and they last 3 day I raise it up to 80%

I'm sorry about your quail hatching problems. It sounds like they might have had some sort of vitamin deficiency, or a hereditary defect.

I recommend posting in the Quail section of the forums (Quail), or the Emergencies section (Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures). Hopefully, members there can offer some help.

I am so sorry about your quail. This can be caused by setting eggs from poor genetics, parent that didn't get enough good nutrition or even high heat in the incubator. I never rely on one thermometer or humidity gauge and use two every time.

glad you have joined us, but so sorry about the quail hatch problems.

I have 13 day old coturnix egg everything is black in the egg but I cant see no veins do you think theyre going to hatch
