One of the quails out of 8 eggs has started to pip and I've read that they take no time getting out of the egg, all me and my mom see's is his little nose out the egg making sound but he hasn't came out he's been like that for half hour and was wondering if we can help him out the egg

I had one pipped for 60 hours before hatching just fine. Don’t assist, especially right away it often does more harm than good (disemboweled chicks etc), the one I did help (12 hours with a large hole and no progress) had a wry neck and was eventually culled. It can be done but only as a last resort. The reason they are assumed to just ‘pop out’ is that the pips are usually so subtle nobody notices them.

This really threw me at first as all the chicken eggs and most quail pictures look like yours: big hole, not small crack!

How long has it been pipped? Mine all took around 8-12 hours from pip to zip, but once started the zipping was very fast.
He's finally out but had to help him during zipping process as the membrane was somewhat dry making it difficult for him to continue zipping, I sprayed then before they started pipping. Read that you cannot spray them once they start to pip so I couldn't make it easier for the quail to do it's self
