AND your other birds don't?!

I set up boundries with 2 ft. high green vinyl coated garden fencing to keep my geese out of areas I don't want them in.
Its so easy to set up.
I use electric fence rods, just poke them in the ground and weave the fence on the rods.

Only the guineas occasionally. I can't let my chickens free range because of my dogs, plus I want to keep the breeds seperate. I wouldn't even let the geese free-range. Maybe a goose pen should be my winter project.

I let my chickens free range BECAUSE of my dogs...they watch over them. We have a little kitty that "sneaks" up on RIR girls and scares the beejeebee's out of them. The dogs interscept. Our Shepherd sits right by the coop and watches over them, the Labbies just don't care...you know Labs...got to love them. Wish I could post a pic of my chicken sitters

. Oh, also the hawks won't come near with the hounds in the yard, win, win.

I wish that were the case here. I used to have dogs that could have cared less about the chickens. Unfortunately that isn't the case with the ones I've got now. I learned that the hard way when I accidently left a gate open.
