Quality of my WH Ducks?

bill color is not accurate any more. They have bred it out in favor of better traits.

Really :/ all those websites better change their info then. But I am positive about my ducks, if you saw them in real life you would agree, the difference is very obvious :) thanks for telling me about it tho, I will take somepicswhen they are older.

gotta ask-

If she quacks like a duck....?

They look nice to me, but I dunno much about breed standards.

They started making different noises about 2 -3 weeks ago, the "girl" has a louder quack and the boys quack as if they lost their voice :) Also my parents are starting to see the side that i could hatch out and sell the ducklings, and sell the eggs. I think i saw money signs in their eyes a couple of times when we were discussing prices i could sell eggs and ducklings for. ;) In their minds the ducks wont do anything except cost money, so when they found out that i could ship eggs all across Canada and get paid half-decent money for it they were surprised. They haven't said a positive yes yet, but they are pretty close, just waiting another couple of weeks :D

Bear in mind- that 2 drakes and 1 female is not good for that female. They WILL overmate her (and with ducks mating is extremely violent and generally not with the females consent). Which will cause her the removal of her head and back feathers, bloody scabby wounds from all the feather yanking (they don't have hands so they use their beaks to grab on to the female for mating)- you are looking at one sad, damaged duck hen with a poor quality of life. It is recommended 4-6 females PER 1 drake. At the very least you need to re-home or eat 1 of the drakes before they reach full sexual maturity or they are really going to hurt your female.

Yes, once they were full grown i was planning to sell one of the drakes, I wanted BYC's opinion which on one was better and sell the other one. I also want to slowly convince my parents i need another hen to make 1 dozen a week because 6 eggs is to small a number :D

That would be awesome. Sell the male- and try to buy a female if you can? Although it's sometimes very hard to sell males and sometimes even giving them away is hard. I wish you the best of luck! I look forward to your updates!
