We have four new hens in quarantine. They won't be able to enjoy the backyard for at least 29 more days. How should I keep them entertained?

They're in our garage, so I'll be able to bring some leaves in for them. I'll try your other suggestions too.
Thank you so much!

We put a stainless steel gazing ball in our run. The girls love checking themselves out in the shiny surface and enjoy making the ball move a little. I'm thinking of hanging it from the ceiling of the run so it will swing more freely.

Great ideas! Thank you! I currently have a new rooster in my garage. I brought in a stump for a roost & a dusting box for him. I left the radio on for him today. I was worried he was getting lonely.

I'm glad he has you to worry about him. :) A stump is a neat idea!

I realized almost too late that quarantine is also an excellent opportunity for chickens to learn new things. I imagined them thinking, "New place, new people, new schedule. I suppose those treat balls are normal here too." They love them and soon taught the rest of the girls to be excited when they saw them.

Unfortunately, I realized too late to teach them to jump through a hula hoop. How I didn't think about that before, I'll never know. Too focused on whether they looked sick, I suppose.
