question about bedding

I have new chicks in the brooder and I needed to make the switch from paper towells to something better. I was only able to get pine, spruce, fir mix at the local pet store. Is this ok to use? I will pick up pine on Saturday.

I use good low dust pine shaving .

I think the mix you have will be fine as well.

Pine is fine. In our coop I use shredded paper for the next and throw in pine for odor absorption.
