Question about border collie pups

I really want the male border collie pup I found, he is 5 weeks but he has a pink nose. I really want a pup with a black nose. Will his nose be fully black when he gets older? I thought that's the way it is with border collies? Am I right?

He's not selling then until they're 8 weeks. He was just sending me pictures so I could pick one out. Do you think the nose will be completely black?

I am not sure. Every dog is different. Have a look at both parents and see what the genetics will cause. 2 black noses will equal one black nose unless the pup is albino.
Even then don't let the nose color matter. Pick a pup based on personality not looks, you want a lifelong partner not a brief looker. I know looks are great but don't get too focused on them Also don't pick out a pup until you're allowed to have a look at the pups and the mom.

he actually shouldn't be letting you pick them anyway. a good breeder will tell you which pup is the best fit for your plans and activity level. If there are a couple pups that match your needs, the breeder would then let you choose between.

Someone meeting the pups for a few minutes aren't going to have any inclining of their personality. The pup that is happy snuggling in your lap could be the wild child who spent the last hour terrorizing the household. The pup that is running rampant and doesn't want to sit still for attention may have just woken up from a nap and is usually the snuggler of the bunch

some pink noses never entirely fill in but most are as filled in as they will get by the time the dog is 2.

x2. As a breeder I agree, but most breeders let people pick their puppies in my area. However I suggest going to the breeder's place. See and spend time with all the pups and parents more than once. Ask questions about personality, most are glad to help.

That's a possibility, but if just for looks I advise against the consideration.
